1. Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 4:30 PM.

2. Youth Outreach Event Recap

• The recent youth outreach event outside the Children’s Museum in Portsmouth was successful.

• Activities included a reading session and mental health trivia to encourage discussions on how reading impacts mental health.

• Future events may involve setting up a table inside the museum, ideally next to the library exhibit.

• The group intends to continue with school events, author visits, and other forms of community outreach.

3. Materials & Merchandise

• The group is running low on stickers. Funds will be allocated to purchase smaller-sized stickers for giveaways at outreach events.

• A teddy bear from the Book Nook will be used to display t-shirts at events.

• Ellen and Amanda have found alternate t-shirt options online, including more affordable and v-neck styles.

• Mia will update the Bonfire sales page to reflect these new options.

4. Display Planning for Outreach Events

• Mia proposed developing a display protocol for future events, inspired by competitive displays seen at the recent youth mental health event.

• Ideas include painting bricks to resemble books as part of the visual setup.

5. Library Book Sale Improvements

• Funds are needed to refresh and improve the user-friendliness of the main library book sale setup.

• Suggestions include purchasing label makers for each book sale location and encouraging volunteers to tidy up during slow periods.

• A possible volunteer "circle-up" at the main location was proposed to improve event flow and organization.

• Funds will be allocated to spruce up both book sale locations.
