Friends of the Portsmouth Public Library provides funds for enriching community programs & events, new equipment and furniture for all library branches as well as library copiers, supplies and maintenance costs.
Donate Books
Our book sale is one of the main ways we raise funds for the Portsmouth Public Libraries. We accept book donations of all kinds & would be happy to take your gently used books and media off your hands. You can drop your books off at one of our book sale locations during operating hours, or contact us to schedule a time.
Volunteer
We're always looking for passionate, energetic volunteers to work our book sales and stock our shelves. If this sounds like something you'd be interested, we'd love to have you on board! Shifts are only 2 hours long, and volunteers receive a free book for every hour worked. Contact us today if you're interested in volunteering.
