Board members present: Amanda Taft, Ellen Franke, Toby Pennell, Mia Taft
Call to Order: The meeting was held at Churchland Book Nook area. Amanda called the meeting to order at 4:00.
Minutes: The 4/26/22 minutes were reviewed.
Correspondence: None
Financial Report by Treasurer: Ellen reported the Operating Account has a balance of $47,924.64 as of 5/31/22. The Copier Account balance is $14,806.16 as of 5/31/22.
Unfinished Business: Ellen is still pursuing the ESI (copier) contracts. Toby made a subject list of book areas for the Main Library book sale.
New Business: Amanda reported a $1000.00 donation by Ron and Sue Fritz and gave the check to Ellen. Toby will send a thank you note. Amanda discussed the “1000 Books before Kindergarten” program that the PPL wants to implement this summer and would like FOPPL financial assistance. Rachel is heading up this new program and has estimated $50 - $71.50 per child. She is projecting getting 1 - 12 books per child enrolled in the program and asked if we could help provide “milestone” prizes. We discussed this and decided to sponsor 50 children for up to $3,575. This was voted on and passed. Amanda will inform Rachel. We discussed selling our new FOPPL logo stickers for $1.00 at all book sales. Mia is looking into new book sale signs to replace old and inaccurate ones.
