Membership Overview

Full membership in the Friends of Portsmouth Public Library is attained by completing the membership form and submitting payment for the selected membership level. Our membership corresponds to the calendar year. Dues notices are sent out in January. New members who join late in the year (after October 1) are automatically credited for the next full calendar year.

Members are encouraged to attend our quarterly meetings, held at the Churchland Library, and to take an active role in support of our Book Sales, Library Volunteer programs, and our organizational activities such as newsletter preparation, membership programs, and Friends promotions.

General Membership
  • Individual Membership    $10.00
  • Family Membership$20.00

Sustaining Membership Program to Provide Library Service Enhancements
  • Bookworm     $25 or more       (Name in one issue of the newsletter)
  • Literary Lion  $50 or more(Name in each issue of the newsletter)
  • Collector$150 or more     (Literary Lion benefits plus one book in your name donated to the Library with bookplate)
  • Curator         $250 or more      (Collector benefits plus your name on plaque in Library)
  • Patron  $500 or more       (Curator benefits plus Advance invitations to Special Events
